Sunday morning we got up and went to church and then came home to give the kids their Valentine's baskets and all of that. I got them each a red heart basket and filled them with a few snacks and goodies that they like and then got them each a matching frog balloon.
Turned out pretty cute I guess.
The friday before Valentine's Haley had given me a necklace that she made me at school. It was so sweet and I have it hanging in our bedroom on the mirror by my bedside. The poem is so sweet. The necklace part is made from penne pasta that she painted pink. AHHHHH!!! Just melted my heart! I'll keep it forever!
Poem reads- Mom, I've got some friends
Of each and every kind,
But a better friend than my mother
I'll never, ever find!
I'm so happy you're my mom!
I love you,
Haley
I got Brad some adjustable weights. I know not a very romantic gift for him, but Valentine's seems to be for the ladies and he has been wanting some of these, so that's what he got. I got the sweetest card from the kids too and a sweet card and a giant Hershey's candy bar from Brad. Just what I need when I'm trying not to eat a lot of candy/sweets.
But I have to eat it now, or it'll hurt his feelings right? :)
Then Monday Brad had flowers delivered to me at work. I got to keep them at work all week and enjoy them, so that was nice!
Sandy came over after church and gave the kids their little baskets with goodies and then my parents stopped by and had these really large stuffed animals with balloons tied on them for the kids. Haley got a big pink bear and Zach got a big Monkey. They were too cute!!
The kids loved them and they go great in their rooms.
Then Tuesday GanGan picked the kids up from school early to spend the afternoon with them and gave them their Valentine's presents which were these musical puppy's that sang and danced. The kids loved those too! So it was a nice day for us all.
Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day too!)
