Saturday we drove to Abilene for the Permian game against the Martin Warriors. It was a pretty good game even though Permian lost (25-15). We got up and headed out around 9:30am after picking up Sandy who was kind enough to buy our tickets.It was a nice day for the game and we really enjoyed it. There were two bad calls and could have made a difference, but we'll never know the outcome now. Guess it wasn't meant to be. It just saved us from getting beat next weekend. I hear it would have been a really tough team.
We sat behind the band and it took us back to when we were in the band. We used to be right there sitting and playing after touchdowns and cheering the players on. It was funny thinking back all those years ago. Good times with friends and football. Its amazing at how young the kids look today though and how silly some act. I'm sure we acted just as silly though and drove our parents crazy. lol We wonder one day if we'll be watching Haley out there cheering or Zach out playing. That'll be awesome! I'll be one true devoted Football parent if so!!!!! Go Permian football!
But it was nice to get away and take a small road trip. My grandmother was kind enough to come to our house and watch the kids for us. The kids love spending time with her and I'm sure she enjoyed the time with them too. Since they've been in school, she hasn't seen them much, so I'm sure the day was enjoyed by all!
This morning though, Haley got me up around 6am throwing up, so that wasn't good. She threw up two more times, so we missed church. I gave her some phenegren that you rub on their wrist and it soaks in. That has seemed to help. It made her sleepy though and she took a nice long nap for several hours which I'm sure helped make her feel a little better too. She seems better now, so we shall see if she's any better in the morning. If not, then I guess we'll be staying home tomorrow! I just hope she gets well before the holidays.
